The Mental Load Marathon: Outsourcing Can Help Save Your Sanity

As a working parent, I often feel like I’m running a marathon I didn’t sign up for. Between work deadlines, making sure the kids are thriving, and somehow managing the household, life has become this endless loop of tasks, appointments, and mental notes.

Despite my husband and I both working full time in challenging roles, the mental load of managing the kids and the household has always fallen on me. He’s an engaged and supportive partner, but we made a conscious decision that I would take on the bulk of this responsibility to give him time to focus on work, as his higher salary is the backbone of our family’s finances.

Household management may not require a physics degree, but it does require something we all struggle to find: TIME. When I became a new parent, one of mentors gave me some sage advice: ‘Outsource everything!’ So I hired a cleaner, a dog walker, a meal delivery service, and lawn care. But at the end of the day I still couldn’t outsource my to-do list.

That’s why I started Summit Life Management. I believe your time is more valuable than your to-do list. Imagine being able to hand off the mundane, everyday tasks like scheduling appointments, running errands, or finding a reliable plumber. By outsourcing these time consuming tasks, you’ll gain more time for what really matters. Whether it’s being present for your family, focusing on self-care, or just taking a moment to breathe – you deserve that.

There is a better way to survive being a working  parent, household manager and primary caregiver – Summit Life Management is here to help lift your mental load!

Outsourcing my mental load allows me to focus on my kids
